Bishop Mathew Hassan-Kukah of the Catholic Diocese of Sokoto has stated that the current government under the leadership of Muhammadu Buhari is only fighting the symptoms of corruption and not the disease.
The cleric made the statement at a programme organised by the Book Readers’ Club of Ibadan School of Government and Public Policy (ISGPP) in Ibadan on Tuesday.
He said Buhari was only fighting corrupt people and not corruption because corruption could only be fought if the nation’s institutions were strengthened.
