Bangladesh Military Says 20 Hostages Killed in Terrorist Attack

The Bangladesh military spokesman, on Saturday confirmed the death of 20 hostages during a siege in Dhaka, when terrorists stormed a restaurant.

Brig.-Gen. Nayeem Chowdhry, the spokesman, said six of the terrorists holding the hostages were killed.

He said the victims were chopped to death by sharp weapons inside the Holey Artisan Bakery restaurant in the Gulshan diplomatic district of Dhaka.

Chowdhry said that a search operation was launched as the militants were killed after 12 to 13 minutes of commando operations.

Governor Dickson tells Nigeria Troops to be professional in addressing Niger Delta threats

Governor of Bayelsa State, Mr. Seriake Dickson, has cautioned the new Commander of the Federal Government security outfit in the Niger Delta, Operation Delta Safe, to be professional in addressing security challenges in the region.

The Governor gave the warning when he received the new commander of ODS, Rear Admiral Joseph Okojie,  a statement in Yenagoa on Friday by his Chief Press Secretary, Daniel Iworiso-Markson, has said.

Dickson emphasised the need for the law enforcement agents to be neutral in dealing with criminal activities.

While commending the Federal Government for retaining the headquarters of the Operation Delta Safe in Bayelsa, Dickson said the security outfit, especially its maritime component, had a crucial role to play, as the state is predominantly riverine in nature.

54-year-old man in Prison for abducting and defiling an 11-year-old girl in Ekiti

A 54-year-old man, Gbenga Adebayo, has been remanded in prison custody by a magistrate court in Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State Capital, for allegedly abducting and defiling 11 -year old Joke Aliu (not real name).

It was gathered that Adebayo lured the girl to follow him to his aged mother’s place in Usi-Ekiti , some 60 kilometres away from Ado-Ekiti, and camped her there for three weeks. He was allegedly visiting her there regularly and sleeping with her.

Meanwhile, in Ado-Ekiti, the same Adebayo was pretending to join the search team for the girl, who were going from one neighbourhood to another to look for her.

FBI interiewed Hillary Clinton about use of private email server

Two months after Mojeed Ogooluwa, 34, was sacked from his job as the Financial Secretary of the Tricycle Operators Association in Ketu, Lagos, he did not think of something else than to take to robbery.

The Oyo State indigene, who is married with two children, said hunger and frustration led him to joining a robbery gang who specialised in robbing people of their cars and other possessions.

His first operation after joining the gang would be to rob a woman on March 8, 2016, identified as Mrs. Iyiola Shola  a civil servant of her car, money, jewellery, mobile phone and laptop.

TRAGIC! University Students dies in fatal accident after an all white party (Graphic Photos)

Eight people have been confirmed dead in a fatal accident along Kisii-Ogembo road near Sameta Lounge on Friday night July 1st. Majority of the deceased were university students (pictured above) who were returning from a party. According to the source of the photos, the one in a dress with brown boots survived.

They were on their way back from Kisii where they had attended an all white party on Thursday night at Club Dallas. Three vehicles, including a canter, a saloon car and a Noah were involved in the accident. All occupants in the Noah perished with three passengers in the canter surviving with serious injuries, SDE Kenya reports.

Four Kids Stabbed To Death In Memphis, Police Take Mother Into Custody

Four kids were stabbed to death Friday at an apartment complex in a Memphis, Tennessee, suburb, according to reports.

Following the stabbing, police took the children's mother into custody for questioning, but she has not been charged, the Associated Press reports.

Authorities have not identified the mother or announced how old the children were, but a sheriff's office spokesman reportedly referred to them as "babies."
