Former President Olusegun Obasanjo yesterday met behind closed doors with President Muhammadu Buhari at the Aso Rock Villa. He arrived a few minutes after Buhari received the details of the 2016 Budget from the National Assembly, as he had demanded before he could sign the document into law.
In a brief chat with State House correspondents, the former president denied that during his tenure, he signed the Budgets without waiting for details, as claimed by the House of Representatives Committee Chairman on Appropriation, Abdulmumuni Jibrin. When he emerged from the meeting with Buhari, the former president spoke briefly with the journalists, although he did not give details of his discussions with the president.
