President Buhari To Address National Economic Council

President Muhammadu Buhari is scheduled to deliver the keynote address at a two day retreat, organised by the National Economic Council (NEC) which will begin from Monday, March 21.

The Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, will chair the retreat, with governors from the 36 states of the federation attending.

The Central Bank Governor and the Budget & Planning Minister are also among other top government functionaries that would be present at that meeting.

Now, it looks like the Internet has gone one step further to pressure women to prove that they have tiny midriffs with the “A4 waist challenge.” For the challenge, women are required to take photos of themselves with a piece of A4 printer paper in front of their waists. The width of an A4 paper is eight inches, and women are trying to prove that their waistlines are narrower than that.

89 Members of Boko Haram Group sentence to Death in Cameroon

Cameroon has sentenced 89 members of Nigerian Islamist militant group Boko Haram to death, local media report.

They were convicted on terror charges by a military court for their roles in several attacks .Cameroon passed an anti-terror law in 2014 which introduced the death sentence.This is the first time the death sentenced has been used since that law was passed.

Roxana Vancea, 25, was reading the forecast on a Romanian channel when she decided to start exercising in front of the weather map, apparently to illustrate that it might be nice to be outdoors. But as she was running and throwing her arms up in the air, her breasts popped out of her low-cut top to reveal her nipples. She initially appeared not to notice the slip-up and continued to jump up and down. 

After bouncing up and down for a few more minutes she finally re-adjusted her t-shirt. The camera then cut to her colleagues at another desk, who looked dumbstruck by what they had witnessed. Celebrities email, iCloud accounts hack; Pennsylvania man to plead guilty

A Pennsylvania man has agreed to plead guilty to a felony computer hacking charge after authorities said he illegally accessed private phone and email accounts of celebrities such as Oscar-winning actress Jennifer Lawrence to leak information including nude pictures.

The U.S. attorney for the Central District of California charged Ryan Collins, 36, from Lancaster, Pennsylvania, according to court documents filed on Tuesday.

Collins signed a plea agreement to plead guilty to a felony violation of the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act. He faces up to five years in federal prison, with a recommended prison term of 18 months and a fine of $250,000.

The case has been transferred from California to the Middle District of Pennsylvania, where Collins is expected to surrender and plead guilty. He will be sentenced at a later date.

Emmy Award winner, Larry Drake dies at 66

Larry Drake, the actor best known for his award-winning role on L.A. Law, died Thursday in his Los Angeles home, according to his manager Steven Siebert. He was 66 years old.

“He was a great person,” screenwriter and friend Charles Pogue tells EW, “genuine sweet, smart, gentle man. A very loyal, good friend.”

Drake was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma on Feb. 21, 1950. He earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Oklahoma.

Michigan man sings his own version of Adele's "Hello" in courtroom to apologize to Judge

A Michigan man facing the music after being convicted of unlawful imprisonment and carrying a concealed weapon compose his own version of Adele's "Hello" to send his apologize to the judge, victim and his mother with a lovely voice.

Brian Earl Taylor, 21, delivered an unexpected rendition of Adele’s “Hello” to apologize for his actions before Washtenaw County Trial Court Judge Darlene O’Brien and a courtroom of onlookers, according to MLive.

In a video from the hearing, Taylor rewrites the chart-topping torch song with remorseful lyrics. “Hello there, your honor,” he sings. “I want to say I’m sorry for the things I’ve done, and I’ll try and be stronger in this life I chose, but I want you to know — that door, I closed. And, your honor, I’m sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry.”

He goes on to apologize to his own mother and the victim in the case.

Australia Fans blast Madonna for coming to concert two hours late

Fans was furious with the Pop singer Madonna after she commence her concert in the Australian city of Brisbane more than two hours late and finishing the show early Thursday morning after the last train had left the venue.

The pop star had been due to start at 9 p.m. local time but did not take the stage at the Brisbane Entertainment Center until 11:22 p.m.

Hundreds of angry fans had left the venue by then and demanded refunds at the ticket office after a public announcement that the “Rebel Heart” show would not start before 10:30 p.m.

Construction worker dies after falling from an L.A. skyscraper

Work has to be halted as an electrician who was only in his second day on the project plunged 800 feet to his death Thursday from a Los Angeles skyscraper that will be the tallest on the West Coast once it’s completed, according to report by SFGate.

The worker fell around noon from Wilshire Grand Center onto the back edge of a passing car. It happened at one of the busiest times of day at one of the busiest intersections in downtown Los Angeles, when the streets were thronged with people.

The electrician hit the trunk of the car, which was sitting at the corner Wilshire Boulevard and Figueroa Street with the blanket-covered body and a coroner’s tent hours later. The car did not appear to be badly damaged.

Fire breather lands in the hospital after been bitten by his own fire

A Fire breather man who has been performing the fire trick for over 30 years was caught up by his own fire during a performance in Atlantic High School. That's pretty embarrassing you know, but maybe needs to apply more caution.

A "fire breather" is recovering at Delray Medical Center after getting caught on fire during his routine at Atlantic High School. Ricky Charles is a performer and owner of the company "Inferno Challenge."

The company was hired by Atlantic High School to perform during a pep rally Thursday morning.

Ricky says he's been doing his routine for more than thirty years, but on Thursday he used a new lamp oil to help fuel the fire.

15-year-old Girl Abducted in Lagos While Going for JAMB

Since on Thursday, March 10th, a 15-year-old Rita Clement has been missing ever since she left for her Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) in Agidingbi, Ikeja.

PUNCH reports that the girl was abducted by unknown persons after she left home by 5.30am for the examination centre, but at 5pm, she sent a text message to her mother’s phone.

“Mummy, they took my phone and beat me up inside the bus. Mummy, I don’t know where they took me to. They made me sleep and said they will kill me if I ran,” the text message said. “Someone gave me my phone, saying I must return it before they came back. Mummy, please save me, please.”

National Assembly committee detects fresh snag in 2016 budget

So an indeed investigation by PUNCH has reveal that the Senate and House Joint Committee on Appropriation has detected fresh errors in the 2016 budget. This is just so unbelievable, that we almost getting to the second quarter and Nigeria still can't pass it budget.

It was gathered that the errors were responsible for the failure of the committee to present its report to the two chambers of the National Assembly on Wednesday as it had promised.

Investigations, however, showed that the errors would not affect the plan of the National Assembly to transmit the budget to President Muhammadu Buhari before Easter as efforts were being made to correct them.

NATCOMS Urge NCC to Enforce Minister’s Order on Unused Data

The National Association of Telecommunications Subscribers (NATCOMS) on Wednesday urged the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) to enforce the rollover of unused monthly data to the new month.

NATCOMS President, Chief Deolu Ogunbanjo gave the advice in a statement made available to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos.

NAN reports that the Minister of Communications, Mr Adebayo Shittu had at a meeting with the telecommunications operators asked them to roll over subscribers’ unused monthly data to the new month.

A Student of kogi polytechnic was killed by Okada man in lokoja kogi state on 15 march 2016 just because of 10 naira difference when the lady was ask to pay 50 naira that she said she can only pay 40 naira. Because of that, the Okada man stabbed the lady with a knife and that lead to her death. The students took action after the death of the lady by blocking the road to fight with other hausa people in lokoja since the Okada man is hausa by tribe, the students even burnt Dangote trucks with Cements at the the poly gate. All the student has been ask to go home until further notice.
