IN THE MATTER OF APPLICATION FOR EMPLOYMENT INTO THE LES ELEPHANT OF IVORY COAST BY MR. STEPHEN KESHI ( HEAD COACH OF THE SUPER EAGLES OF NIGERIA) AND OTHER BREACHES OF HIS CONTRACT OF EMPLOYMENT.

REPORT BRIEF

The President of the Nigeria Football Federation, representing the Executive Committee and Management referred to the Disciplinary Committee for investigation and adjudication an allegation reported widely and in particular in the official website of the Ivorian Football Federation that Mr Stephen Keshi applied and sought employment in the vacant position of Head Coach of the Les Elephants of Ivory Coast and was consequently shortlisted among 58 others that did apply for the job while he is still an employee of the Nigeria Football Federation having a two year unexpired contract as Head Coach of the Super Eagles.

Super Falcons move up in FIFA Ranking

Although they failed to win a single match in the just concluded Women FIFA World Cup,  Nigeria Super Falcons move up to number 29 in the world FIFA ranking. The African champions remain the best side in the continent with a total of 1633 points in the month of March till date.

Cameroon overtook Ghana in second spot rising up 10 places to 43. The Black Queens of Ghana are third best African team unmoved in 52nd and Equatorial Guinea remain fourth in number 55 while South Africa moved a place up to 59 in fifth spot and Ivory Coast remain 67th in the World.

President Buhari recalls his foreign ambassadors

President Buhari has recalled Nigerian non-career ambassadors in foreign countries. The ambassadors were recalled as part of efforts to re-position the country’s foreign policies. The Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Mr. Femi Adesina, confirmed the recall.

Adesina said only non-career ambassadors are affected in the recall.

“Yes, I can confirm to you that non-career ambassadors have been recalled by the Federal Government,” the presidential spokesman said.

Joaquin 'El Chapo' Guzman a Mexican drug lord escapes from prison

Top Mexican drug lord Joaquin "El Chapo" Guzman has escaped from a maximum security prison for the second time, security officials announced yesterday. Guzman, who headed the powerful Sinaloa Cartel, was last seen in the area of the showers in the Altiplano prison outside of Mexico City

The National Security Commission said in a statement that Guzman went to the showers shortly before 9 p.m. and wasn't seen for a while. Upon checking his cell, authorities found that it was empty.

A search operation began immediately in the surrounding area and highways. Flights have also been suspended at Toluca airport near the penitentiary.

A very horrible accident involving a commercial bus occurred this morning July 12th on 3rd Mainland Bridge. 

According to a source who witness the accident the bus was in top speed when it suddenly flipped and somersaulted.

LASTMA official collapses on traffic duty

An official of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) on Saturday slumped while controlling traffic in the Idi Araba area of Lagos (Picture above).

According to further report from punchng, the official identity could not be ascertained as of the time our reporter left the scene, was among those controlling a heavy traffic along Ishaga Road allegedly caused by an event at the Chapel of the Healing Cross, Idi-Araba.

There was also a heavy presence of security personnel on the road. The official, who was busy with the heavy traffic situation under the scorching sun, fell down and began to gasp for breath.

Boko Haram militants take over Damaturu-Maiduguri road

Earlier today, reports coming from PREMIUM TIMES says Boko Haram militants have taken over the highway linking Maiduguri and Damaturu, capitals of Borno and Yobe states respectively.

A police officer stationed in one of the villages along the highway, told PREMIUM TIMES that travellers are being asked to return as the terrorists have taken over the road between Benisheik (a town 85km away from Maiduguri) and Ngamdu (35km away from Damaturu).

Siasia hails NFF for chosen Sunday Oliseh as Super Eagles Head Coach

The National Under-23 football team coach, Samson Siasia, has commended the Nigeria Football Federation for hiring ex-internationals to coach the Super Eagles.

The News Agency of Nigeria reports that the NFF was in talks with former Super Eagles’ captain, Sunday Oliseh, to coach the senior national team.

Siasia told sports journalists on Saturday in Port Harcourt that it was a good development for the growth of the game in the country and for ex-internationals with interest and experience in coaching.

According to further report from Gossip Cop, Leviston filed the lawsuit in 2010 after 50 Cent posted the explicit footage online as part of a dig against Rick Ross, with whom he had been feuding. Official! President Buhari and VP Osinbajo take 50% pay cut

The presidency made it official that President Buhari and VP Osinbajo have decided to take a pay cut. They will now only receive 50% of what GEJ and Sambo received during their administration.

“I write to forward the completed IPPIS registration form of Mr. President and to draw your kind attention to Mr. President’s directive that only 50% of his salary be paid to him,” the Permanent Secretary of the State House, Nebolisa Emodi wrote to the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation yesterday

Osinbajo also agreed to take a pay cut. Buhari will now receive 50% of his annual N14, 058,820.00.

Boko Haram releases new decapitate video since joining ISIS

Dreaded terrorist group Boko Haram have released a new video since announcing their allegiance with ISIS. In the video contain gruesome decapitating of a captured military officer. In the 10mins video, the sect members are seen engaging the military in a gun battle and then the video shows them standing proudly next to the corpses of the military officers killed and the video ends with the gruesome beheading of a captured military officer.

Doctor who falsely diagnosing patient with cancer, jailed for 45 years

A heartless doctor who made ripoff millions of dollars from his more than 500 patients by putting them into unnecessary and grueling cancer treatments and then billing insurers has been sentenced to 45 years in prison.

According to further report, Dr Farid Fata, who worked in suburban Detroit, Michigan, poisoned around 550 victims many of whom did not actually have cancer, by giving them excessive chemotherapy and other treatments.

His actions wrecked his patients' health, with many sustaining chronic health problems such as brittle bones and fried organs. Other victims lost their homes and jobs, and were forced into bankruptcy.

Bomb blast near DSS office in Maiduguri

A female suicide bomber this morning detonated a bomb in front of the Borno Express Terminal which is very close to the Department of State Security office in Maiduguri the Borno State capital.
