EFCC seizes 14 properties traced to ex-FCT minister's son

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission says it has seized 14 properties located in “choice areas” of Abuja traced to the immediate past Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Mr. Bala Mohammed, and his son, Shamsuddeen.

The EFCC stated this in a court application filed by one of its prosecutors, Mr. Ben Ikani.

The application, filed before the Federal High Court in Abuja on September 11, 2017,   sought the interim forfeiture of the properties.

A Turkish diplomat, Abdulkadir Erkahraman, has faulted the deployment of soldiers to the South East by the President Muhammadu Buhari-led Federal Government.

The Diplomat, who recently visited Kanu at his country home in Afarau Ukwu in Umuahia, the Abia State capital warned that Buhari will be killed soon by “Biafran Army.”

They also warned that the growth, which was large as a result of rising oil price and improved production in the period, was fragile and that the nation could slip back into recession if the price of crude suffered a dramatic decline.
