On Friday, Sonia Ekweremadu, the daughter of former Nigerian Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu, said she disagreed with her parents' conviction, describing the UK court ruling sentencing them to various jail terms as surprising.
Sonia made this known in an interview with the BBC while reacting to her parents' conviction news.
In the interview, she said, “I and my brother and sister were in the house and the bell rang, and we thought it was our parents but the policemen showed up at the door. They said they arrested me for a crime. My first reaction was shock.
