TBoss blows hot says “anyone cursing my mother will never be a parent”


Former Big Brother Naija housemate and second runner-up, Tokunbo Idowu, TBoss, has lashed out at a follower who slammed her mum on Mother’s day last Sunday. Firing back via a clip yesterday, Tboss cursed those cursing her mother.

The ex-reality show housemate took to an Instagram live video, where she declared that those cursing her mum “will never be a parent”.

A Twitter user called Nicky has revealed that she is in a romantic relationship with her brother, Aryan. She went on to create a thread to explain why it's OK to engage in incest. One of the reasons she gave is that 'God approves of it' and also, that people who are incestsexual have no control over it, the same way one doesn't choose to be gay.

A 13-year-old student of the Command Secondary School in Suleja has been left with horrific burns after he was administered wrong medication by a nurse at the school clinic.

According to Online media, Sahara Reporters, the incident occurred on April 30 when the student sought medical treatment for having high body temperature. After the drugs were administered to the student, he began to develop rashes all over his body. He also noticed that his lips were swollen and his eyes were red. The situation worsened when the nurse abandoned him at the school’s clinic for three days without making an effort to ameliorate his condition.

Female student of LASPOTECH, Damilola Adegoke, commits suicide


Lagos State Polytechnic student, Damilola Adegoke, reportedly committed suicide on Tuesday after drinking an insecticide, Sniper. It is not certain what led her to take her own life.

The remains of Adegoke, a Business Administration student, was discovered by her mother when she came back home to find her daughter lying on the floor and the bottle of Sniper beside her.

Federal Court has order the forfeiture of N449m found in BDC shop


The Federal High Court in Lagos on Friday ordered the final forfeiture of the sum of N449,597,000 found in an abandoned Bureau de Change shop in Victoria Island, Lagos by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.

The forfeiture order was made by Justice Rilawan Aikawa following a motion on notice taken before him by the anti-graft agency.

Arsene Wenger’s future at Arsenal will be decided after FA Cup final


Arsenal manager, Arsene Wenger, said a decision on his future at the club would be made at a board meeting after their FA Cup final against Chelsea on May 27.

The Frenchman will be out of contract at the Emirates at the end of the campaign as he prepares for the final Premier League game of the season against Everton.

Israel refuses US Presidential Helicopter landing


President Donald Trump has cancelled a planned visit and speech at the ancient mountain fortress of Masada in Israel after authorities told him that he could not land his helicopter on top of the UNESCO-listed site.

Instead, Trump will now deliver a speech at the Israel Museum in Jerusalem. It comes after an Israeli Air Force (IAF) regulation that prevents helicopters landing at the summit of the Masada site, according to Israel’s Channel 2 broadcaster.

Uber driver allegedly breaks passenger's phone, threatens to beat her in Lagos


An Uber driver has been called out by his passenger’s friend who claimed the driver broke his friend’s phone in an attempt to beat her.


He said trouble started when the driver asked the passenger to convert the trip to “off book” and the proposal was rejected.

Three suicide bombers detonate explosive vest at a Nigerian university


Three Suicide bombers have been confirmed dead in the early hours of Friday in Maiduguri, Borno while attempting to enter some locations in the University of Maiduguri.

The Head of Media and Public Relations of the National Emergency Management Agency, Mr Sani Datti, in a statement on Friday said that the University’s Security and Vigilantes group intercepted the suicide bombers before they could gain entrance into the University premises.

Nigeria and Leicester City midfielder Wilfred Ndidi has been included in the list of the English Premier League's young breakout stars of the 2016/2017 season.

The five-man list compiled by Sky Sports was released on Friday.

Other players included are Manchester City's Gabriel Jesus, Rob Holding of Arsenal, Sunderland keeper Jordan Pickford and Everton's Tom Davies.

‎Artifact Stolen From Nigeria Found In Italy


The artifact that represented goddess of fruitfulness reluctantly released by Nupe people to Niger State Museum and stolen some decades ago, has been found in Italy.‎

The Executive Director, Niger State Council for Arts and Culture, Mr Emmanuel Zhiri, made this known to the News Agency of Nigeria in Minna on Thursday.

“This artifact was found in Italy recently by the Commissioner for Information, Mr Jonathan Vatsa’’, Zhiri said. He added that it would cost the state a “huge fortune,” to retrieve it.‎

Wilfried Ndidi Models New Leicester City Home Jersey For Next Season


Nigeria midfielder Wilfred Ndidi was one of four players selected to model Leicester City's new home jersey for next Premier League season.

Ndidi modelled the new jersey with skipper Wes Morgan, Jamie Vardy and Kasper Schmeichel.

Acting President Osinbajo Receives 2017 Budget From National Assembly


The Presidency on Friday confirmed that the National Assembly has formally transmitted the 2017 Appropriation Bill recently passed into law to the Executive.

The Senior Special Assistant to the Acting President, Mr. Laolu Akande, confirmed this on his Twitter handle, @Akandeoj.

FA to punish players who dive with two-match bans


The English Football Association on Thursday, passed a new rule which will retrospectively punish players, who are found guilty of simulation starting from the 2017/2018 season.

A panel which includes one ex-match official, one former manager and one ex-player, will review footage from the weekend each Monday, to spot cases of simulation.

Drama! Two persons caught on Arik flight stealing co-passenger’s money


There was a mild drama Friday on a 7am flight of Arik Air from Lagos to Abuja as two suspects were caught stealing from a bag belonging to another passenger few minutes to landing at the local wing of Nnamdi Azikwe Airport in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

The attention of the passengers were attracted by the voice of one of the crew members on the flight asking one of the suspects to sit down and should dare not utter a word since he had been finally caught.
