Prof. Steve Hanke, an American professor of Applied Economics and the Co-director of the Institute for Applied Economics has blasted President Buhari, for leading Nigeria to its worst recession in 25  years. According to the Professor, Buhari's negligence led us to where we are.

Police burst men traveling with 800,000 liters of diesel


Ship crew members comprising of Ogbolu Louis (Captain), Izuazu Anayo (Chief Engineer), Solomon Agbanoma (Able Seaman) and a depot manager, Olajide Kabir, are now cooling off in police net, after being arrested with 800,000 litres of adulterated diesel in Lagos, they were transporting with a marine vessel, Jazzi.

Police Public Relations Officer, Jimoh Moshood, who confirmed the incident, disclosed that the men were arrested by IGP’S Task Force on Illegal Petroleum Bunkering, at a location in Kirikiri area of Lagos State.

A cripple, who has become a terror to motorists in Lagos was arrested by Rapid Response Squad, after he stabbed two passengers in a robbery attempt.

President Buhari's media aide, Femi Adesina, has shared details of a phone call he had today with the Nigerian President, who is in the United Kingdom on medical vacation.

The girl who is from Okigwe and currently at the Kubwa General Hospital, needs to locate her brother ASAP, who she was looking for before she had the accident. Her hospital bills have been paid though by a good Samaritan.

Rivers Rerun: Army Arrests Spokesman Of Pdp, 50 Others

Physician says Bedwetting is among adults is hereditary


Dr Tolulope Otuneye, a General Medical practitioner at the National Hospital, Abuja, has described bedwetting among adults as a “genetic medical sickness’’. Otuneye said in Abuja on Saturday that bedwetting during sleep is also referred to as `nocturnal enuresis’.

According to him, this is a medical condition known to occur more among children ostensibly from an immature bladder. He, however, noted that the phenomenon among adult, indicated an underlying health condition or traits inherited from the family.

Ekiti State Leads Nigeria in Residents Who Defecate Openly – Report


Ekiti State has the highest number of residents, among Nigerian states, who defecate openly, two agencies have said.

The United Nations Children’s Fund and the European Union state that two in three Ekiti residents engage in open defecation.

This is contained in a report jointly presented by the organizations at a two-day media networking and alliance building workshop on Water Sanitation and Hygiene held at Ijero Ekiti.

An Abeokuta Magistrate’s Court on Friday sentenced a 23- year- old man, Olamide Lakan, to two years imprisonment for burglary and theft of a motorcycle valued at N210,000.

Lekan, who faced a three-count charge of conspiracy, burglary and theft, admitted guilt and was promptly handed the jail term.

A lecturer, Mr Ibrahim Oseni says students have become lazy due to their over-reliance on google search for their academic works.

Oseni, who lectures at the Mechanical Engineering Department, Kwara State University, Malete made this known in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Ilorin on Friday.

According to him, the use of google search has turned students to lazy researchers

He said students now relied mainly on their phone and computer set to solve simple questions as they did not want to stress their brain thinking.
